United: Learning Unity Development

Dear  Participant,

Thank you for considering to take part in the study "M12 Improving Edutainment using Diegetic Social Competition". This research study aims to find potential ways of improving edutainment games, and hopes to discover this using "United: Learning Unity Development". United tries to teach players the basics of Unity development using a gamified experience. The study takes place over a period of 1 week. You as the participant are asked to play the game once a day for however long you want to play.

Playing the game means the following minimum (again there is no maximum):

1. Login using participant ID 2
2. Look at 1-2 game development topics in the learning window
3. Develop a game in the development window
4. Review your progress in the compare overview

Before participating it is important to read and understand the consent form provided using the download option. Once fully understood and in agreement sign the form and email it to m.h.w.hundscheid@student.tue.nl

After sending the form please fill in the Introductory Questionnaire: https://forms.office.com/e/WdZ4dnmVDz. The questionnaire asks some starting questions to gather an understanding of your starting experience and expectations.

Make sure to fill in the Daily Questionnaire: https://forms.office.com/e/8mA8ATR5PB. The daily questionnaire, which only takes ~2 minutes, provides an insight of the day to day experience with the application and how it can change over time. Fill this questionnaire only after playing the game that day.

After the 18th please fill in the Review Questionnaire: https://forms.office.com/e/Gf9Qm0ux2P. The questionnaire measures the experience you had while using the game, and looks for potential improvements.
